What to Say to Influencers to Get Them Interested In Your Product Or Business

Today we will be talking about how to recruit influencers into your business.

First of all, I’d like to smash 🔨 a common misconception that people have in this business. When it comes to social media, we tend to assume that we have to be an influencer in order to recruit influencers.

This is absolutely FALSE boo boo!

I know this because I’ve worked with people who had no influence whatsoever and scary pasts, and they were still able to recruit influencers into their teams and build million dollar 💰 businesses.

It’s not about how many followers you have or how many likes and comments you get. It’s about your confidence 😎+ your posture. At the end of the day, that is what will attract people, including influencers to you.

I chose social media for  3️⃣ reasons.

1. No one knew me on social media and I could be whoever I wanted to be. 😍

2. I’m an introvert. If I get rejected on social media, I can handle it behind closed doors.🚪

3. I was a single mom 🤱. I couldn’t afford to go to all the meetings because most of the time, I couldn’t even afford a babysitter.

Keeping these reasons in mind, I think of influencers on social media. I ask myself, what are the reasons influencers are on social media?

How can I have similar conversations 🗣️ about the reasons I’m on social media and the reasons they’re on social media, so we can connect to one another?

One of my social media hacks that I share with my private clients are how to recruit influencers when you’re not an influencer yourself. I’m so excited to share with you some of my hacks 💡 on Instagram and Facebook when it comes to connecting and having conversations with influencers without feeling scared or weird.

Now, lets talk about who influencers are attracted to. This is important because you need to know the type of content you should be putting out on social media. You need to know what your confidence and posture should look like.

You can recruit influencers by understanding what it is that attracts them to you.

Influencers are attracted to people who know what they want. Influencers are NOT attracted to someone who is indecisive. If you come across as a spammy tammy or annoying on social, you’re chasing 🏃‍♀️ them away and that’s keeping it  💯with you guys.

“JOEEEEEEEEE!”

Influencers are attracted 👀 to people who know where they’re going. Me, for instance, I know where I want to be in the next 5 years. Influencers are attracted to that.

Do you know where you want to be in the next 5 years?

Influencers know the impact they want to make and are attracted to people who want to make an impact. This means you need to ask yourself 💭 what is the bigger impact you want to make.

If you know the impact you want to make, are you sharing it on social media, or is what you’re sharing all about making money🤔?

At the end of the day, if someone is only talking about how much money they make, it’s not going to attract me, let alone other influencers. What attracts me is your PASSIONS and the IMPACT you want to make. These are the things that build rapport with an influencer.

If you’re thinking about reaching out to an influencer, avoid the cold 🥶 call. —-> #Marg

Instead, compliment them on some of their accomplishments. If I wanted to reach out to Rob Sperry for example, I would say something like: I can see how much passion you have about being a great husband and father.

It’s important to show influencers who you are and to share your story and your mission. Compliment them on their accomplishments. Ask them what their mission is and what impact they want to make.

This starts up the conversation with you complimenting them and connecting with them. I know it sounds crazy but influencers love to have these conversations. I love  💕having these conversations!

Now, let’s talk about my process for recruiting influencers. Let’s start with Facebook groups. There are ways you can recruit from Facebook groups, but I don’t want the low lying fruit. 🍇

I want the one who’s running the damn group. I want to know who they are, what they want, where they’re going, and what impact they’re trying to make💥.

What is an Influencer?

An influencer is someone running a group with lots of humans that you don’t know (I would start in a Facebook group with at least 5,000 people). The goal is to have influence over the influencer influencing all those people. So what do I do? I get my happy a$$ in the group.

I make a post introducing myself 👋. I give compliments to the admin running the group. Then, I send a message to that person.

I say something like:

“I love what you’re doing in that group. I have an audience that would love to hear some information like that. Are you open to collaborating with me and doing an interview?

If they say no, I’m all good and at least I tried. There are a TON of Facebook groups.

To sum a Facebook group up, 1. Introduce yourself, 2. Ask if you can collaborate, and 3. Track this human. Tracking them means keeping up with their posts and what they’re doing. If you create that relationship, wait 7 days, then you can go back to that human after you interviewed them and ask if they’d be open to the opportunity.

If you’re asking them to leverage product, make sure the product has something to do with the group.

In Episode 43, I share my EXACT formula for introducing yourself in Facebook groups to stand out!

Just because someone doesn’t want to join your business, it doesn’t mean you can’t leverage their group.

Amen to that sister!

When it comes to Instagram, I personally go after mom bloggers because they’re not typically in Network Marketing. I actually prefer going after people who are NOT in Network Marketing. If you’re in travel for example, you should be hitting up every travel blogger there is on Instagram. If you’re in make up, hit up the make up vlogs on YouTube.

Go to them and ask if they’re open to an interview. You can ask them if they’re open to a product swap. Then, after 7 days, ask if they’re open. These are ways you can stand out and create eye  👀contact with influencers.

My Challenge for You:

If you're a Heeler, you know I always give homework 😉.  I’m challenging you to try and reach out to three influencers a day. Don’t get down in the dumps  😔if they say no.

At the end of the day, you’ve created a relationship 👯and you never know what doors will open because of that relationship.

Avoid those in Network Marketing. There are plenty of fish  🐠that are not in the industry who could still be OPEN to your opportunity.

Let’s wrap it up. You need 1.) a mission statement. This specifically means the impact  you want to make that will solve a problem your audience has. 2) put it in your bio across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, the works). 3.) create a quick reach out script.

This strategy has absolutely changed my business and I hope you will take action with what you’ve learned here today.

Until next time, Heeler,

Marina Simone xoxo
